My Five Travel Essentials

Confession: I have a bit of the wanderlust bug. Already this summer I've hit the road ( and the air) countless times. There's just something so magical to me about the anticipation of travel and then the 'living in the moment' glory of experiencing a new place. Not to mention all the inspiration that traveling to a new locale can afford. As a bit of a self-proclaimed expert traveler, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few of my top picks for travel essentials.

My Trusty Carry-on

I'm not one to check a bag, so a functional carry-on bag is absolutely key. I love this stylishly handsome, but totally functional Filson wheeled bag.

Diversions

Boredom is a fact of life for long flights and road trips. I tend to keep a well-stocked Kindle on hand for such occasions. After all, that transatlantic flight is the perfect time to catch up on the bestsellers list.

Organization

I'm a bit of an organizational nut, even when I travel. I like to keep a tidy bag, so keeping my clean clothes separate from dirty is essential. This laundry bag is a great way to know what you've got left to wear.

A Good Wallet

Keep everything squared away with a good wallet. I prefer this Kate Spade zippered wallet because it's the perfect size to contain a passport and all that odd-sized foreign currency.

One Good Pair

Perfect for those airport sprints or trekking around town, I like to travel with a great pair of sneakers. These Nike Free running shoes are stylish, lightweight, and super comfortable.
