Keen is an increasingly popular sport and utility shoe brand for men, women, and
children. Founded in 2003 by Martin Keen and Rory Fuerst, the company sought to develop a sandal that provided advanced toe protection. Now, the company offers a variety of different shoes and boots in addition to its flagship sandal, and its business mission is to design footwear, bags, and socks that enable customers to play anywhere without a ceiling. Its promise is to care for each other and the world.
The sandal that started Keen's history is the Newport H2 and is the flagstone product of Keen's shoe line. The Newport, designed to perform in adverse conditions, has 3 mm lugs and a razor sipped outsole for traction and support on both trails and in water. These adaptable sandals feature a hydrophobic mesh lining and a metatomical EVA footbed. The patented toe protection that Keen is famous for is featured on the Newport. The Newport also has a washable polyester webbing upper with an Aegis microbe shield, a quickdraw elastic cord lace, and a secure metatomical strap design.

It has a waterproof leather upper and classic oxford laces. This shoe features a removable metatomical footbed as well as a non-marking rubber outsole, mesh lining, patented toe protection, and a compression molded EVA midsole.
