5 Tips to Successfully Thrift Online

Tip #1
More Details the Better. This simply means that an honest seller should provide an in depth description of each item.  Since most thrift items are second hand, natural wear and tear, or other circumstances are likely to take place. Sellers should state any stains, holes, wear and tear, chest and sleeve dimensions to better assist customers.

Tip #2
Great Pictures. The best pictures are clear, focused and are exactly what the seller is trying to sell. Some sellers do not have expensive lighting equipment, but natural lighting is always free! If a seller is serious about their store, he or she will provide accurate and clear photos to ensure the customer is able to see exactly what they are purchasing.

Tip #3
Ask questions. When in doubt about anything, contact the seller. It is the responsibility of the seller to address any concerns or questions regarding their products. If they are unresponsive or uncooperative, then that would be a red flag; find another place to spend your hard earned money.

Tip #4
Read the Fine Print. If the seller provides in depth details, then be sure to read it. Some items are described as shipped “as is” (like unwashed or with an odor). If you fail to read what you paid for, you might be upset or confused when your package arrives and reeks of an odd smell or a has huge tear.

Tip #5
User friendly. The site should be easy for the customer to navigate. The letters and font colors should be legible. Nothing should be misspelled and contact information should be posted and up to date. This, along with other factors, lets me know that they seller care about their site and their products.
